Clerkenwell Films Strikes Development Deal with BBC America and BBC Worldwide /
BBC America has commissioned the development of two new series (Wired and The Dead Beat) with Clerkenwell Films to be distributed by BBC Worldwide.
Wired, written by Stephen Volk (Afterlife), is a sci-fi drama exploring the evolving relationship humans have with technology. It takes place in a world which looks just like ours, except for one thing - this is a world with Synthetic organisms, and these 'synths' are exact replicas of human beings...
The Dead Beat is a paranormal crime show written by John Jackson (Being Human). Two cops - one dead and one alive - reluctantly join forces to investigate a series of murders by taking leads from the dead. It subverts the crime genre and brings a whole new meaning to buried evidence.
