Murray Ferguson, Founder of Clerkenwell Films

Clerkenwell Films is a multi-award winning film and television production company founded by Murray Ferguson in 1998.

Firmly established as one of the leading scripted producers in the UK, Clerkenwell Films creates high quality, popular television for both UK and international audiences. Among its credits are award-winning, critically acclaimed shows such as The End of the F***ing World, Misfits, Lovesick and Somewhere Boy.

PETRA FRIED

Joint Managing Director

Petra has been at Clerkenwell Films since 2000 where she developed and executive produced many of the company’s shows. She now oversees the company’s strategy and productions alongside Joint Managing Director Wim De Greef. Before joining Clerkenwell Films, Petra worked at Scottish Television and BFI Productions.


WIM DE GREEF

Joint Managing Director

Wim has worked widely across the film and television industry as a production accountant since 1997 and has been responsible for Clerkenwell Films’ corporate accounts since 1999, joining the company full time as Financial Controller in 2008.


Oliver Fryer

Consultant - Legal and Business Affairs

Oliver has worked with Clerkenwell Films since May 2011 assisting with commercial and legal and business affairs issues. He previously worked in business affairs roles in television and film, online and computer game businesses in both production and broadcast, most recently with Disney and Sega.


Andy Baker

Executive Producer

Andy joined Clerkenwell Films in 2002 where he developed a number of successful series for the company, including MISFITS (E4). He has since executive produced several seasons of LOVESICK (Netflix) and THE END OF THE F***ING WORLD (C4 / Netflix), as well as the Channel 4 drama NOT SAFE FOR WORK. He continues to develop and oversee a wide variety of projects across the slate.


Matt Jarvis

Executive Producer

Matt began his career at World Productions before joining Clerkenwell Films in 2006.

Matt was the Development Executive on all five series of MISFITS. Matt worked as an executive producer on CHEATERS, THE ALIENS, THE NIGHTMARE WORLDS OF H.G and continues to develop a number of projects across the slate.  


Ed Macdonald

Executive Producer

Ed joined Clerkenwell Films in March 2010. He has executive produced several seasons of LOVESICK for Netflix and BAFTA-winning THE END OF THE F***ING WORLD for Channel 4 / Netflix, as well as pilots for Comedy Central and Fox in the US. He continues to develop and oversee projects across all genres on the slate.

RACHELLE CONSTANT

Executive Producer

Rachelle joined Clerkenwell Films in January 2019.

She started her career at ITV Studios before joining the BBC where she worked as a development producer across drama. She produced two series of The Break for BBC Three and was associate producer on Amazon's sci-fi series, The Feed. She was also one of the producers to receive a BFI Vision Award. Rachelle continues to develop a slate of shows for Clerkenwell, with a passion for working closely with new and emerging writing talent.


Emily Harrison

Executive Producer

Emily joined Clerkenwell Films in 2013. 

Most recently she executive produced SOMEWHERE BOY for Channel 4 and short-form comedy drama CHEATERS for BBC. Before that she script edited both seasons of THE END OF THE F***ING WORLD for Channel 4 and Netflix, as script executive on the second. 

She continues to develop a variety of projects across the slate.


GAVIN O’GRADY

Executive Producer

Gavin has worked closely with Clerkenwell Films for a number of years. He joined as an Executive Producer in 2022 and prior to that produced two Clerkenwell series: SOMEWHERE BOY for Channel 4 in 2022 and THE DUCHESS for Netflix in 2019.

In addition, Gavin produced both series of the award-winning THIS WAY UP for Channel 4, as well as WOMEN ON THE VERGE for UKTV. Before moving across to scripted, he worked across a variety of comedy and entertainment programming, producing and directing several successful formats such as BIG BROTHER for Channel 4 and THE ONLY WAY IS ESSEX for ITV.

CHARLIE LANGDELL

Executive Producer

Charlie joined Clerkenwell in September 2016. She recently associate executive produced upcoming drama TRUELOVE for Channel 4. Before that she script edited award-winning SOMEWHERE BOY for Channel 4, and THE DUCHESS for Netflix.

She continues to develop a number of projects across the Clerkenwell slate.

zoe williams

Financial Controller

Zoe was on the external audit team of Clerkenwell Films before joining the company in 2019. As well as focusing on the group accounts, she also assists the production accountants on THE DUCHESS.


matthew hirons

Script Editor

Before joining Clerkenwell Films in 2022, Matthew gained experience as a Script Reader for companies such as Big Light Productions and BAFTA Rocliffe. He then went on to become a Shadow Script Editor for the 2022 Channel 4 Screenwriting Course, while also teaching screenwriting masterclasses for the BFI Academy.

Matthew is Script Editor on THE DEATH OF BUNNY MUNRO, Pete Jackson’s adaptation of Nick Cave’s novel for Sky. He is also developing a number of projects across the slate while he continues to hunt for exciting projects and fresh writing talent.


rachael stephenson

Script Editor

Rachael joined Clerkenwell Films in 2022. She’s now script editing the second season of the BBC’s comedy-drama series CHEATERS, written by Oli Lyttelton.

Meanwhile, Rachael is also developing a range of drama projects with both established and emerging writers, with a particular interest in uncovering and developing untapped, exciting IP.
